This weekend from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, we have the chance to witness not one but two UFC world title fights which have been in the making for quite a while.
In the co-main occasion, for Bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko squares off contrary former multiple time Strawweight women’s champion, Joanna Jedrzyczyk for the brand new and empty women’s 125 pound Flyweight domain strap.
These two women have a friendly competition that dates back to their amateur fighting times at the European Muay Thai Championships. Valentina managed to come out on top each battle, albeit with much more experience each time and she’s the larger fighter.
More on the dimensions gap.
The main occasion may include the most anticipated fight of 2018! I know that’s quite the declaration, but think about it. Minus Conor vs Khabib, there is not a fight I was hyped for than that one all year.
Jon Jones’s return is going to definitely, be pretty awesome but this is the second time these two men have gone through a full battle camp in preparation for their fight. The first time around, Max Holloway was hauled from the competition at the last minute by the athletic commission for weight cutting problems.
Many fans and media are still speculating as to what had Max sounding punchy and slurred in interviews preceding that potential first fight w Ortega back on July 4th of this year.
